Electron diffraction measured the thickness of the polyester folded chain to be about 10NM and the length of the polyester substrate to be 1.075nm. However, the length of the polyester macromolecular chain is about 1.075*130 (average degree of polymerization) = 140NM, indicating that the polyester lamellar macromolecular chain must adopt a folded chain structure.
